Truck Driver
Responsibilities Tasks Address customers' complaints or concerns Mountain driving expertise Professionalism in customer service Arrange travel, and related itineraries and make reservations Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Drive lighter, special-purpose trucks Load and unload goods Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment Pay and receive payments for goods Perform brake adjustments Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption Credentials Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses Air Brakes Endorsement Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate Experience and specialization Transportation/travel experience Local Long-haul National Provincial/territorial Regional Short-haul Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Large workload Overtime required Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Sitting Personal suitability Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Judgment Organized Reliability Team player Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta Who can apply for this job?
